Meeting Points (Monday to Saturday departures):

  • 6:50 a.m. Estadio Metro Station:
    BAYERY Bakery, Bulevar Libertadores de América #47-31

  • 7:20 a.m. Poblado Metro Station (South–North direction):
    Juanito Comelón Food Court, diagonal to the pedestrian entrance of Politécnico Jaime Isaza Cadavid

Passengers arriving late must join the group at their own expense. A maximum waiting time of 5 minutes applies at each meeting point.

Itinerary

Departure from Medellín:
From the selected meeting point, we will depart in a van or bus depending on the number of passengers, heading north toward El Peñol.

Typical Roadside Breakfast:
We will stop along the way to enjoy a traditional regional breakfast.

Arrival in El Peñol & Boat Tour:
Upon arrival, we will go to the dock to board a boat and enjoy a 45-minute tour of the former El Peñol reservoir.

Boat Sightseeing of Iconic Sites:
From the boat, we will see the House Museum, the cross marking the former town church, the home of football player James Rodríguez, and La Piedra del Marial. We then return to the dock and continue to Guatapé.

Visit to Peñol Rock (Optional – Additional Cost):
We will visit the iconic Peñol Rock, a 220-meter-high monolith and one of the region’s main attractions.
Those who wish may climb to the top for an additional fee of COP $20,000, paid directly at the entrance.
If you choose to climb, we will wait at the base before continuing the tour.

Lunch in Guatapé:
Arrival in Guatapé for a traditional tourist-style lunch (set menu).

Walking Tour in Guatapé:
After lunch, we will take a guided walking tour through Guatapé, famous for its colorful houses. We will visit the main square, walk along the waterfront boardwalk beside the reservoir, and finish at the port.

Return to Medellín:
The tour ends around 4:30 p.m., when we return to Medellín by bus.

Substance Restrictions

Consumption of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes is restricted while the guide is coordinating group activities or in shared transportation areas. Property Damage Any damage caused by a traveler in hotels, restaurants, attractions, or any other location visited during the tour must be fully covered by the responsible individual. Pets are not allowed on any of the routes.

Force Majeure The Agency is not responsible for lost time or additional expenses caused by delays due to road conditions, airports, or any unforeseen events beyond its control. Luggage and Personal Belongings Travelers are responsible for their luggage and personal belongings. Once luggage is stored, it will not be returned until the destination is reached. Valuable items (e.g., electronic devices, money, jewelry) are not stored in luggage compartments. It is recommended to carry valuables in a personal backpack or handbag. Traveler Behavior The Agency reserves the right to remove any traveler from the tour whose behavior (including but not limited to alcohol abuse, drug use, or obscene conduct) causes delays or disrupts the normal flow and coexistence of the group.
